This elegant country home is a return to simplicity: an estate in the genteel hills bordering on Umbria and Tuscany. The villa is surrounded by three farmhouses. With 11 suites for 22 guests, its own winter garden, pool, library and billiard room, the Casali di Monticchio has an ancient atmosphere which offers a constant reminder that time belongs to you here.

While a guest of Casali di Monticchio, your hosts will make you feel at home. Don't hesitate to ask: from the weather report to museum hours, from shopping advice to a copy of your favorite newspaper, wed like you to feel as though you were among friends, who discreetly but constantly take care of you.
The Casali di Monticchio has 11 suites, each furnished and decorated in a different manner by the owner. In the main house are five marvelous, welcoming and comfortable suites and junior suites in splendid pastel colors that transmit a sense of serenity.

The other suites are located in two apartments and a villa, each with an independent entrance and a private garden. The suites, junior suites and apartments overlook the picturesque Tuscan-Umbrian valley. Two additional suites are located within the estate in a private villa and available only on request. All rooms are equipped with a flat screen television, CD player, DVD player, stereo, iPod docking station, a laptop sized safe, free wireless internet access and an external telephone line. In every bathroom you will find the complete line of Bulgari White Tea face and body products.

During their stay, guests can relax in the company of a good book and in winter there's a wonderful fireplace in the library. While waiting for lunch or dinner, the building offers many lounges ready to welcome you and make your holiday worry free. After a day of riding or walking along the Umbrian hillside, you might choose to enjoy a glass of wine and a good film. You can choose freely from the house collection of DVDs.

You can freely gather the fruits of nature from the organic garden or choose the all inclusive meal plan. The refined cuisine introduces you to unique flavors with a regional flair. The menus are different every day, respecting the rhythms of nature, with seasonal delicacies and prize wines. The fruit, vegetables and oil are all organic and estate produced, as are the wines and meat.

LA VILLA
Is the focal point of the Borgo and it is divided between two levels. The ground floor, where the stable was once housed, is the common area in which the kitchen, the Restaurant and the living rooms are located. On second floor, what was the original kitchen has now has been converted to a remarkable salon with an enormous fireplace. Here are also our junior suites and suites: il Giardino, Le Foglie, Gli Angeli, Il Giardino delle Farfalle and le Colombelle.

CASA AL COLLE
Two parallel rows of lavender border the lane leading from the Villa to Casa al Colle. Located on the top of a small hill, this beautiful building constructed of ancient bricks overlooks the valley and the botanical garden. It contains our two small villas, both with an independent entrances and a private garden. The Villas are arranged on two levels. I Papaveri and Il Corbezzolo.

I PAPAVERI
Situated on the ground floor the numerous niches created by the stones of the farm house, gives character to the room. Dining room with living room and fire place, kitchen, double bedroom and a room with double beds, two bathrooms one of each with duplex shower, private garden, an ideal place for very relaxing moments.

IL CORBEZZOLO
A lovely arbutus at the foot of the steps introduces guests to the small Villa, which occupies the entire top floor of the farm house. The large fire place and two narrow pointed arches afford personality to the central living room leading into the other rooms, the two bedrooms and the kitchen with marble countertop, illuminated by two large windows.

LE GIUGGIOLE
Was once was the school of the Borgo and today is an elegant independent villa situated in a secluded place facing the estate vineyards. There is a wonderful botanical garden that can also be appreciated in the colder season thanks to the winter garden. Kitchen and living room with a huge fireplace, one double bedroom and a big bathroom with hydro massage bath are on the ground floor. The other double room and a bathroom with a lovely old-fashion bath, are on the first floor. The private garden surrounding the Villa is a lovely, peaceful corner to enjoy moments of real intimacy with nature.
