This stylish Caribbean villa with its gingerbread detailing, is situated on one of the prime sites of Cap Estate on a bluff above the Caribbean Sea, with access through the garden to the Anse du Cap beach. The estate is extensive and fully landscaped by a professional landscape gardener. Guests at this villa will enjoy spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and Pigeon Island National Park.
The entrance to Hibiscus House is through a lush tropical garden into a cool hallway with a dark hardwood floor and many indoor plants. The hallway leads into a dining terrace with a long table to seat 14 persons and from there onto the patio with its white upholstered furniture and ceiling fans creating a typical Caribbean ambiance. There is a large air conditioned sitting room – also furnished in white with TV, stereo, DVD and VCR and an adjacent library area with a selection of books and a chaise longue on which to relax.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a series of fridges and coolers, dishwasher, coffee maker, espresso machine, microwave, wine cave and a pantry with an ice maker.
The house has 4 air conditioned bedrooms(with an optional 5th bdrm available at an additional cost).
Bedroom 1 is situated off the library and has a double bed, ceiling fan and an ensuite bathroom (with hairdryer). The bedroom opens onto two patios – one which faces the Caribbean Sea and the other which has a private outdoor shower.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 are found off the entrance hallway and up a few stairs.
Bedroom 2, which opens onto a terrace garden, also has a double bed with ceiling fan and an ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed, ceiling fan, TV and DVD and an ensuite bathroom.
Bedrooms 4 and 5 are accessed through the terraced garden and are situated at a lower level.
Bedroom 4 has a kingsize bed with ceiling fan and an ensuite shower room.
It is connected to Bedroom 5, a children's bedroom, which has two single beds, TV with VCR and ensuite WC and outdoor shower.
There is a large infinity swimming pool surrounded by an extensive pool deck with loungers, a barbeque area and seating for 12 persons and a separate heated Jacuzzi. Adjoining the swimming pool is a circular children's pool with a fountain in the center.
A winding path threads its way down through the landscaped garden to a separate massage hut, Anse du Cap beach and a private swimming cove with its own jetty, equipped with storage space comprising of snorkelling equipment and boards. Al fresco dining can also be accommodated on the jetty affording fabulous sea views and dining under the stars.
Above the house is a tennis court which can be enjoyed in the evening under flood lights. There is a separate pavilion fully equipped with tennis racquets and balls.
Hibiscus House can be rented in conjunction with Hibiscus Cottage which is situated a short walk from the house at a higher level.
Hibiscus Cottage has been built in a style reminiscent of a traditional Caribbean house. It is situated in a fully landscaped flat garden on a headland above Hibiscus House and Anse du Cap beach. The views from the house and garden are ever changing and always spectacular. The garden creates a cool oasis with its many trees, pond and fountain and swing seat for relaxing.
The cottage is surrounded by a verandah on three sides – part of the verandah is equipped with easy chairs and hammocks and another section is a dining patio for al fresco dining.
The air conditioned living room has very high ceilings and is furnished with cool white chairs ( one of which can convert into a sofa bed) and a TV with DVD. The kitchen is part of the open plan living area and is equipped with a microwave, fridge, dishwasher and coffeemaker. There is also a separate shower room.
An air conditioned double bedroom leads off from the sitting room. It has a double bed and shares a bathroom with the adjacent children's bedroom with its two single beds and access to a small fenced garden.
Upstairs is another air conditioned double bedroom with a double bed, walk in closet, a private patio and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower.
There is access along a walkway to another section of the terraced garden with its own swimming pool, kid's pirate fort and water slide.
The floodlit tennis court is next to the pool and terraced garden.
Access to Anse du Cap beach is short walk down some steps and path.
Hibiscus Cottage cannot be rented separately, only in addition to Hibiscus House.
Hibiscus Cottage comes with maid service only and shares staffing with the main house.
