Sandacre Estate is one of the grande dames of the Movie Colony neighborhood. The stately Spanish hacienda, where Marilyn Monroe was rumored to have been a frequent guest, has 5 bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms.
Upon entering through the 15-ft. high Spanish wood gates and cobblestone motorcourt, one can only imagine the Hollywood glamour and luxury impressed on this estate. The hacienda is surrounded by stucco walls, lush with fruit trees and greenery and vast lawns, behind which the San Jacinto Mountains rise. The terracotta roofing tiles and warmth of the home is complete with a small balcony off the tower bedroom, rumored to have been Marilyn Monroe’s private hideaway.
Marrying the notion of contemporary luxury and comfort to the opulence of the era was the essence of the extensive renovation of picturesque and historic Sandacre.
