    Kalutara\u2019s average temperature fluctuates very little throughout the year and hovers between 27 and 30 C, no matter what the season. However, the city sees a significant amount of rainfall during certain months. If you want to stay dry during your trip, visit in <\/span>January, February, March, June, July <\/b>or <\/span>August.<\/b><\/p>\n

    Kalutara is busiest in the months of July and August, as many people time their vacation to coincide with the holidays. If you want the city but not the crowds, go in <\/span>February, March <\/b>or <\/span>June. <\/b>This way you can still enjoy clear blue skies and warm sunshine, without so many other people around!<\/span><\/p>\n

    Pay a visit to Kalutara Bodihya<\/h5>\n

    A sacred Bodhi tree in the heart of Kalutara, Kalutara Bodhiya is one of the most important Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka. This holy tree, thought to have <\/span>sprouted from one of 32 sacred saplings<\/span><\/a>, is visited by hundreds of Buddhists each and every day. Right next door is the beautiful Kalutara Chaithya, an enormous stupa and Buddhist temple.<\/span><\/p>\n

    This incredible spiritual site can be found near the Kalu River and the surrounding scenery is almost as attractive as the temple itself. Take a few hours to stroll through the grounds and enjoy its peace, quiet and tranquillity.<\/span><\/p>\n
