Beautiful villa in perfect setting

This is a beautiful villa in the most idyllic setting just minutes walk from the busy Mirissa beach. The villa has just four bedrooms making it feel like a private oasis. The pool is huge and just lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well cared for. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Gorgeous Holiday

Myself and 7 friends rented the whole house for 11 nights in April. The house and staff were incredible and we all had an amazing, relaxing break. The pool is a beautiful temperature and we spent most days relaxing in the covered pool area or on the beach which is a 400m walk away. The chef prepared us amazing breakfasts and dinners which we all loved - especially the lobster. The housekeeper was extremely helpful and organised taxis for us at a moments notice. The night watchmen and gardeners were all very friendly and helped ensure our holiday went without a hitch. We had visits daily from a huge group of monkeys which was incredible and chipmunks were always playing around the garden. The house is stunning and is very well stocked the only issue we had is the 2 bedrooms downstairs do not have air conditioning and the heat was sometimes unbearable at night for 4 of the guests. Overall a lovely break!

Perfect stay

This was a perfect stay in Mirissa. A short walk to the beach so easy to access the bars and restaurants. The property is stunning and the staff are so helpful. You can book just a room (which is ensuite) and Ravi will get you groceries and prepare you meals, Ironika keeps things tidy but also sorted out booking whale watching, getting us tea by the pool. The pool is so peaceful and a great respite from the beach. The villa is done so tastefully. We also loved the cute dog, Mango who always kept us company while reading or hanging out. Like a home away from home in a fantastic setting.

The most amazing villa!

My partner and I had been recommended this villa by our friends who had stayed here two years ago. We haven't ever been to Sri Lanka or a similar country so unsure what to expect. The area of mirissa is just amazing, and Siri Wedamadura Villa was absolutely fantastic for a luxurious and relaxing stay. The idea of sharing the villa with strangers was very daunting to us, however when we arrived we realised that this is the new way to holiday! You receive a much more personal experience, the staff are attentive and overall the stay is much more of a comfortable experience than a large hotel. The people who came to stay over our holiday were all very friendly. The in house chef is just great, he will make the best Sri Lankan curries or pretty much anything you ask of him. He has great culinary experience and extremely friendly. Mark the manager is also fab, he is very friendly and informative about the area and what is recommended to do during your stay in mirissa. Overall the location of the Villa is great, you can walk to the beach bars and restaurants in under 5 minutes. It is also set back from the hussle and bussle of the main roads so you don't have any traffic or noise unlike a lot of the other hotels. We will definitely be back to stay here in the future, whether it be us two or with a group of family and friends we will not be staying anywhere else in Marissa! Thank you for a holiday of a lifetime!

Wonderful house and staff

Great house, great location. Friendly and discreet staff. Best meals ever by your own chef. Fantastic housekeeper who did all our washing. Park like gardens with lots of wildlife. Close to beach but very quiet. Only drawback was we stayed in April, it was really hot a those of our party who had the downstairs bedrooms with no Airconditioning felt a bit cheated as upstairs bedrooms have A/C. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday. John & Livia

Siri Wedamedura is enveloped by a lush private garden, and situated in the sleepy village of Mirissa on Sri Lanka's south coast. Both Mirissa's harbour - the launchpad for coastal cruises and whale watching trips - and tranquil palm-fringed beach are a handy stroll away from the villa whilst Weligama's enigmatic curve of coastline - popular with surfers - takes ten-minutes to reach by car.

Charismatic family-friendly manor house

Immersed within five acres of tumbling gardens, this charismatic family-friendly manor house is a short stroll from Mirissa's sultry southern sands. Home to four ensuite bedrooms, breezy living and dining space and a fully equipped kitchen, this recently renovated colonial abode beautifully blends graceful period features with a contemporary interior design. Vivid modern artwork dots the walls, cushy beanbags languish atop cool cement floors and a select sprinkling of antiques and artefacts elegantly furnish the villa's refreshingly minimal interiors.

Modern distractions are absent here as the emphasis is on relaxing and making the most of the gorgeous tropical beaches and activities nearby. The house is wrapped by expansive lawned gardens home to a meandering pond and a steep bank from whose summit proffers stunning panoramic views over Mirissa's colourful harbour and across Weligama's wide sweep of sandy, palm-fringed bay. Formerly the home of an ayurvedic doctor, Siri Wedamedura comes with a discreet staff team who keep the house clean and secure, and prepare your meals for you on request. Provisions for food and drink are charged at cost price.

Siri Wedamedura's four garden-view fan-cooled bedrooms are situated across two floors. Each features either a double or two single four-poster beds draped in soft mosquito netting, a wardrobe and a contemporary ensuite bathroom with rain shower. Two bedrooms - a double and a twin - open from the ground floor living room whilst a further two twin bedrooms are accessed off the landing on the first floor. A rear staircase from the dining veranda leads to this upper floor.

The living and dining areas are all situated on the ground floor. At the front of the house is a deep garden-view veranda scattered with rattan chairs, which leads straight into a beanbag-furnished living room illuminated by a skylight. Beyond the living room is a spacious, open-sided dining veranda elegantly furnished with a dining table for 10 overlooking the exotic foliage of the leafy back garden. Just off this dining area is a fully equipped kitchen finished in smooth grey cement.
