If the party thing’s not your scene, don’t worry! THere are several other, more low-key but nonetheless awesome things to do around Bali on New Year’s Eve.

Watch the fireworks at Kuta Beach

Where? Kuta/Seminyak

The whole of Bali’s west coast, from Kuta to Seminyak, lights up with fireworks at midnight on New Year. Kuta Beach is the best place to view the most spectacular displays, but the fireworks will last until well after midnight all along the coast. Take a midnight stroll along the sand to appreciate the festivities with the sand between your toes.

Check out Puputan Badung Square

Where? Denpasar

To celebrate with the locals this year in Bali, check out Puputan Badung Square in Denpasar. Join in the countdown at midnight at the Catur Moka (four faces) statue and enjoy the fantastic firework display afterwards. Head over early to catch the traditional parade and bring in 2019 with an authentic cultural experience in Bali.

Rent a luxury villa and host your own party

Where? Seminyak/Canggu/Ubud/Sanur & others

If you think New Year’s Eve is overrated, why not host your own private party in beautiful Bali? Rent a stunning luxury villa, complete with your own private pool, for the most exclusive celebrations in town. The best place to do this is Seminyak, where all of Bali’s glitziest properties are located. Enjoy the midnight fireworks in the company of your very favourite people and in the height of comfort. The best part? Once the party’s over, your bed is only staggering-distance away!
