Eats & Retreats
Villas in Bali, Thailand and Sri Lanka
American author and global traveller Henry David Thoreau wrote:
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away".
Eats & Retreats was formed in celebration of those who share Thoreau's belief in finding happiness and self fulfillment. Those who value the freedom to travel to their own beat.
Passionate about exploring the world
Like Thoreau, I've always been passionate about exploring the world. Not only are new sights, sounds, smells, and cultures refreshing, travelling should be inspiring, even life changing at times. Whatever the type of accommodation you choose on your travels, it will become your temporary home, providing the base for you to venture out in search of new experiences, or offering s hideaway far from everyday distractions so you can enjoy being with your loved ones. Having spent nearly two decades in various sectors of the hospitality industry, I have seen first hand the importance of choosing the right place to stay. This is especially true for the discerning travellers who choose to stay in private villas, and the type of guests that this lifestyle attracts.
Travel to your own beat!
Understanding our guests and respecting their needs is what drives Eats & Retreats. Every single property listed on the site, from a small private island in Sri Lanka to a contemporary private residence in Bali, is managed by trustworthy companies and owners with whom we have enjoyed a long term relationship, which ensures complete confidence in the quality of the property and services provided. For airport transfers, private chefs, or any of the additional local services you may need, our partners are the most recommendable.
Do your homework
Lastly, be aware that there have been recent reports of fraudulent online villa rental activities. Before you find your online holiday rental, make sure you are comfortable with the company and the person you are dealing with. Do your homework. Talk to the contacts on the phone, and ask for guest references. Understand the payment terms and booking conditions before you confirm anything. Always keep in mind the well known adage - if it's too good to be true, it often is. For more information on holiday villas, contact us!
Happy travels!
