Great apartment, well managed resort with very helpful owner.

We, family with 5 and 7 year old from UK, stayed at apartment A303 for 8 nights and were very impressed with the facilities and comfort. Microwave, fridge fearer, toaster etc. 1 large bedroom with huge bed and one good sized room with kingsize, think, bed - both ensuite. Large kitchen / living area with dining table and comfy sofa. TV / DVD etc. and nice balcony overlooking pools with table, chairs and place to hang clothes to dry - there is a washing machine as well. This is a corner unit so is bigger and has a bigger balcony from what i could make out. Family Mart and directly opposite and 7Eleven a 2/3 minute walk so easy to get bits for breakfast, water, ice cream, beer etc. The complex is imaculacte with staff always on hand to remove leaves from pools, sweep up and generally make sure the environment is pleasant. Staff at the complex helped us when the wifi didn't work and went with the techniction to our room when we were out. They requested permission first and the manager locked laptop and iPads in his safe to ensure we did not need to worry about external person in our room. They also booked taxi for us that involved going to Kui Buri National park and then onto our next location, so a bit complicated to explain, at a far better price than the street taxis and the service from the driver was superb. Owner was one of the best i have experienced when renting holiday properties, quick and helpful responses were always received to emails I sent prior to booking, once booked and when we there. 8 pools the same size with varying depths and interest and the waterpark area that has very shallow to deeper parts with slides, water sprays etc. It is only on 4.30 to 6.00 weekdays but more at weekends and holiday weekends. Our 2 liked it but enjoyed other pools as well and used water park area when slides were off - as did other children there. Beach is a 5 minute walk down a private track and very nice, go later in the day as very hot until shade starts around 3.30pm. Much better here than in the main part of Hua Hin although you will need to bring your own drinks for the sundowner as no beach sellers at this part. Location - MyResort is between Hua Hin and Khao Takaib so out of the centre but you can get to the Market Village - a popular shopping mall, or on to the Hua Hin Night Market using the green Songthaws,pick up trucks with bench seats in the back, that pass every 10 minutes or so. Just stick your hand out and then buzz inside when you want to get off - cost 10 baht per person until 7pm then 15 baht after. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in walking distance with a mix of style and budget if you don't want to make the 15 minute or so journey to the night market. There is another market just past Market Village on the left that has some great food stalls and restaurants and is closer to the resort, more Thai people than the now very popular night market and i recommend eating here. Negatives - Thailand is noisy with bikes and people etc and the first few nights i was disturbed by noise from outside. I then discovered the window in the bedroom hadn't been closed properly so once it was that cut out the noise a lot. Sunbeds - people in Asia do no generally lie in the sun as we westerners do so the number of sun beds in servicable condition was few and it is very much in the sun / in the shade as no sunshades. That said there is plenty of sun or shade in sitting areas and pools right through the day. More sun beds to relax on would appeal to the western visitors. Al in in all i would certainly recommend. My Resort beach condo is conveniently located in the quiet Takiab area near Cicada market. A Family Mart convenience store is right across the street. Plenty of cafe, restaurants and massage and nails salon abound nearby. Khao Takiab monkey mountain and it's fishermen port are within 5 min drive. Market Village shopping mall and the night market are all within 10 min drive. Plenty of taxi and tuk tuk stand nearby.
