Ruime villa; desondanks geen leuke vakantieherinnering.....

Deze villa voor 2 weken geboekt met 7 personen familie; iedereen eigen badkamer en slaapkamer en ruime living en keuken aanwezig. Zwembad vlak naast huis. Helaas hadden we onverwacht 2 weken regen, wat het vakantiegevoel op Koh Samui niet echt verhoogd. Voeg daarbij de zeer slechte support van aangestelde manager / contactpersoon voor de villa en het overstromen van alle toiletten, waardoor de we een groot deel van de vakantie in een enorme poeplucht zaten.... De manager was tijdelijk, omdat de vast aangestelde persoon afwezig was. Erg aardige man, maar absoluut niet geschikt voor de job......: Wij vierden hier Kerst en Oud en Nieuw en natuurlijk is het dan een drukke periode; maar deze beste man slaagde werkelijk nergens iets te boeken: de goede restaurants waren allemaal vol volgens hem, de vooraf aangegeven mogelijkheid voor privé kok in de villa ging ook al niet, en de geregelde taxis die er kwamen zetten je continue af.... Zelfs voor boeken van kaartjes voor fullmoon party in Koh Pahnang slaagde hij erin enkel de boottocht te regelen, zónder kaartjes en toch tegen hoge prijs. Locatie van het huisje is niet erg romantisch; ligt in straatje achteraf in woonwijk en heeft niet echt uitstraling van buiten. Binnen is het prima, al is het allemaal wat gedateerd. Maar met biljart en voldoende ruimte voor iedereen om zich even terug te trekken op eigen kamer was dat prima. Het feit dat onze koffers pas na 2 dagen arriveerden, maakte de start al niet goed, en de regen en de overstroming in het huisje maakte het niet beter. De manager kon pas na 3 (!) dagen iets doen aan de verstopping.... Dus al die dagen op andere locaties naar toilet en maar proberen te wennen aan die vieze lucht.... Uiteindelijk met eigenaar uit VS in contact gekomen, die netjes was en excuseerde en 2 daagjes van de vakantie terugbetaalde. Met wel dringende verzoek om het negatieve Google bericht wat één van ons reeds had geplaatst, verwijderd kon worden...... Nadat eigenaar in beeld kwam, ging alles iets sneller en 2 dagen terugbetaling is erg aardig, maar daarvoor ga je niet op vakantie..... Huisje had nog 2 plaatsen lekkage door de regen, maar daar zijn de huizen waarschijnlijk ook niet echt op gebouwd voor deze regenperiodes. Villa was zeker niet goedkoop en hadden betere service verwacht: details als welkomstdrankje, eerste koelkast voorraadje of advies voor inkopen, taxi, etc zou passend zijn voor dit prijsniveau. Handdoeken werden om de 3 dagen vervangen; als je dan strand en douche daarmee moet doen, is dat eigenlijk te kort en onfris. Prima voor B&B, maar niet voor een "Luxury Villa". De tuin daarentegen werd ook om de 3 dagen volledig bijgehouden door 2 man, die met luide snoei- en maai-apparatuur de hele tuin en zwembad doorgingen..... Dat was dan weer een beetje veel support tegelijk..... Bij vertrek ook nog additioneel €150,- voor verbruikte stroom moeten betalen. Nog los van het feit dat dat erg veel is, vind ik dit voor een Villa die luxe pretendeert een slechte zaak; alles inclusief en het gevoel krijgen dat er iets extra's wordt geregeld had mijn voorkeur gehad.... Wij wilden luxe, in locatie en behandeling, en hebben dat beide hier niet gekregen. Had liever € 1.000 meer betaald en die support gehad, dan dit katerige gevoel! Ik had graag een positievere recensie geschreven en realiseer me terdege, dat het slechte weer, de overstroming en de incompetente en passieve manager, vooral hebben bijgedragen aan het negatieve gevoel wat we van deze vakantie overhielden, maar het is de realiteit.... Gelukkig konden we met zijn 7en voldoende lachen en hebben we op de paar droge daagjes nog wat strand en trips kunnen doen die de moeite waard waren... Maar kijk niet echt positief op de vakantie terug. Helaas horen deze ervaringen er ook soms bij......

Convenient Koh Samui

We had some issues with air conditioners and wi-fi but they were dealt with by Cord immediately. Would have been nice if this had been dealt with prior to our arrival. Very convenient location.

Lovely Villa for Holidays

What you see in pics is what you get. We miss our staying in Sun Villa.Though it is not nearby the beach, but you can drive to wherever, north or east beach, spa or supermarket or the mountain view point. My husband and I stayed for 5 days in Feb with my parents and the child. The rooms are spacious, only the a/c in masterroom is noisy, but Cord said he will fix it up. We love to cook ourselves then have breakfast and dinner in the garden, usually we will spend the afternoon in the swimming pool with a lot of fruit at the poolside. Fabulous! met all our demands and expectations.

Beautiful villa which was safe and secure and in a great location, near enough to go somewhere interesting and yet just far enough away from the hustle and bustle.All my family really enjoyed the pleasure and privacy the villa has to offer.We all left totally relaxed and rejuvenated and with a smile! Better than staying at any hotels as i have been to Samui on many occasions and the previous time we stayed at the Renaissance resort which was nice but not as nice as Samui Sun Villa which has much more to offer. Will definitely be going back there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Fantatstic base for a family holiday

Villa situated close to Chaweng Beach, but in a quiet location. Perfect base for a family with older children. Good amenities including pool and security gates. All tours etc picked up and dropped us at the door. Close to the airport. Extra services requested were quoted and sourced for us. All in all a great experience, thank you.

Shopping centers Tesco-Lotus & Big C, with an array of mall shopping and dining, are just a brief 2-3 KM from the Villa.

Cancellation Policy

* You may cancel your reservation at any time by notifying us by email. In the event of cancellation or if the booking cancelled due to non-payment of the balance by the specified date the following cancellation charge shall apply:
* Between the booking date and 30 days prior to arrival – Deposit charged
* Between 30 days prior to arrival and the arrival date – Full payment charged
* Once your final 70% is paid, there is no cancellation refund. However, if you are on your trip and within days of arrival and you choose to arrive earlier and the villa is available, we can move things around for you with no problem

Payment Terms

* 30% deposit is required to secure your booking
* Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, Amex or Bank Transfer. Please note that there will be a 3% surcharge for all credit card payments.
* Full payment to be made 30 days prior to arrival date
* Last minute bookings under 30 days are to be paid in full immediately
* A refundable 10,000THB security deposit will be required upon arrival and from this we will deduct 5 Baht per unit for electricity. The deposit (minus electric costs) will be returned on your departure provided the villa is left in good order (higher deposit for long term).
* A copy of your passport is also required upon arrival
* We recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance
