Best Holiday Ever!

I have lived in Asia for 4 Years. I have gone on about 20 holidays. But this Villa was the best! The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The Staff were extremely friendly and kind. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Including me, there were 12 members of my family and we all very much enjoyed the holiday. There were 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Two very good pools and a jacuzzi. The view was stunning. Overall it was an amazing holiday. We all loved it. If you visit Ko Samui, Thailand definitely visit there. Also, there are cultural food and the food there will lighten your taste buds. We travelled with two young girls, aged 7; and they loved the wonderful cats and staff. All I can say is visit the Paridise! Read the Title and that will tell you what this Luxury villa is! There were a couple of downsides, the stairs were very uneven. Very bad for disabilities and people with leg problems. Also the Mosquitoes were very bad, I got bitten about 100 times in 14 days; one of my family members had to go to hospital for there bad bite.

A Luxury Paradise, With Amazing Staff

After booking the villa at the end of February 2016, for two weeks in early August 2016, my family and I were very excited to come to the amazing villa. As all of the family comes from the UK, everyone lives there, except from my family, who lives in Singapore, meaning we were very excited to see them all, especially in a foreign country for them. It looked superb from the pictures, but after arriving at the villa, it was clear to everyone that the villa was even better than the pictures. The staff we excellent, not to mention the food. Everyone loved Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, with it always being on time even with 8 adults and 4 children, they had a lot too cook, but without fail it was never late. The Villa Manager, E, was excellent, especially when one of the family members spent a couple of nights in hospital, after being affected by mosquito bites - and finding put she is allergic to them, and another family member pulling a ligament in her an ankle. E assisted all the way. The staff were very kind, smiley and friendly - all very nice. They did there best to speak English, as we did Thai, which they very kindly assisted us on. The two pools were amazing, one being warm, and one cold, there was even a lovely jacuzzi! With the kind staff putting in a few pool toys, for the children, pumping them up at first, and two of the children getting two pool toy Dolphins, which E pumped up. The housekeeping was superb, always a lovely clean, nicely kept room. The rooms were fantastic! There were kayaks, which were excellent. The beach was good too, a bit pebbly, and rocky, but the sea was really nice. There were rocks to climb over, which the children all loved! The sitting room was really nice, and the dining area. The Wi-Fi was good too. The film night was stunning, an amazing view, and just absolutely incredible. Only a ten minute drive from the airport! All the family had a massage, and everyone loved them. The lady that did it was nice, gentle and also friendly. In the end the food and beverage was a low price, considering are two week stay. A fantastic villa and holiday, just wish we could stay longer! Without any doubt in my mind we will be re-visiting this amazing villa again.

Spacious villa that needs a few updates

The villa is huge with 6 bedrooms on three levels with 2 pools and a Jacuzzi. The outdoor seating area was unusable at times due to mosquitos. That may have nothing to do with the villa itself but the time of the year. They did provide bug spray all over the villa My bedroom door was very difficult to open as it had no handle! The private beach was not well maintained and unusable due to too much debris. That being said the service was amazing. The staff was friendly and the chef was incredible! We had some amazing meals at the villa. Chaweng beach is just a 5 minute cab ride as is the airport.

Location

Villa Sangsuri 2 is one of three villas that occupy an unspoilt beachside area on the east coast of Koh Samui. The villa is located 10 minutes' drive from the Samui International Airport, 5 minutes from the modest beach town of Choeng Mon and 10 minutes from the larger, popular tourist town of Chaweng. A number of resorts and villas are also located in the area, but all three Sangsuri villas are shielded from outside view and sit within their own beautifully landscaped, lawned and sheltered oceanside grounds.

Rates Exclude

* Dorm: Option of 1x Dorm USD 200++per night
* For weddings and private parties, surcharge may be applicable depending on number of guests (a maximum number of guests also applies)
* Babysitting is at THB 350++ per hour and THB 450++ per hour after 8 pm. Minimum of 4 hours in advance booking is required.
* In-villa shopping service is available at THB 300 or 20% of grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.
* Pre-arrival shopping service is available at THB 650 or 20% of grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.
* Provisioning is to be paid by cash on-site or by credit card with an additional surcharge up to 5%.
* Laundry

Cancellation Policy

If it becomes necessary to cancel all or any part of the booking, Villa Management must be notified in writing (email acceptable). The cancellation will take effect from the day the written confirmation is received.

The following cancellation charges will be applied depending on when the notification of the cancellation is received in writing by Villa Management and the period of stay in the Villa by the Guests:

* 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 60 days or more before the arrival date.
* 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the arrival date.
* 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 30 days or less before the arrival date.
* A full or partial refund is subject to the discretion of Villa Management and solely applicable in the event that Villa Management secures another reservation covering partially or fully the initial cancelled reservation.

Christmas and New Year Periods:

For any cancellation after the deposit and/or balance payment, all payments are forfeited and a full or partial refund is solely applicable in the event that Villa Management secures another reservation covering partially or fully the initial and cancelled reservation.

An admin fee of USD 50 will apply in the event of refund and amendment to reservation. The above cancellation charges also apply if Villa Management cancels the booking due to non-payment of the balance. If the dates of the booking require to be changed or amended, this may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and cancellation charges may apply.
Any change to the original reservation is subject to the approval of Villa Management. An early departure penalty will be subject to negotiation with Villa Management local Representative's Manager.

***Relaxed Cancellation Policy***
We understand that flexibility is required given the impact Coronavirus has on travel. In the event where your trip is disrupted due to COVID-19-related flight cancellations or travel restrictions, the below terms and conditions apply:

In the event your trip is disrupted, we will supply you with the necessary paperwork to file a claim with your travel insurance. If you are not covered by travel insurance, please refer to the policies on our managed villas below.

* Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days before the date of arrival are eligible for a credit note for up to twelve (12) months from your original arrival date OR a cash refund of eighty percent (80%).
* Cancellations made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date will be converted into a credit note for up to twelve (12) months from your original arrival date – no cash refund.
* For peak season bookings: If you cancel anytime due to a COVID-related event, you will be provided with twelve (12) months credit from the original arrival date – no cash refund.

We will refund your booking or provide a credit note based on the following conditions:
* Your country of residence issues a travel ban or a warning of ‘Do not travel’ (or the equivalent) to the destination booked.
* Your flight is cancelled and alternatives are not available.
* There is a government-enforced quarantine upon your return from one of our destinations.

Terms and Conditions:
* Proof will be required before confirming eligibility to this clause.
* Cash refund will be minus any fees that may be incurred for international remittance if requested.
* Credit Note allows you to rebook the same villa during the same rate period (season) within twelve (12) months of your original arrival date. You may confirm your travel dates at a later point in time, as long as the stay is completed within twelve (12) months of the original check-in date.
* The minimum length of stay shall also follow the period of the new dates;
* Policy for new bookings apply for selected managed villas;
* Extension of credit note validity may be requested subject to approval.

Payment Terms

Initial Deposit

* An initial deposit of twenty percent (20%) must be paid to confirm a booking, unless otherwise specified in the confirmation of availability.
* During Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year, fifty percent (50%) of the villa rental must be paid to confirm a booking.
* Before the booking is confirmed and a contract becomes enforceable, Villa Management reserves the right to increase or decrease the agreed prices. No contract will be agreed and accepted by Villa Management before the receipt of funds.
* If the funds have not been received by Villa Management within five (5) banking days from the booking date, Villa Management reserves the right to void the booking request and allocate the Villa to another Guest.
* Should the booking be cancelled, cancellation charges will become payable in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.

Balance Payment:

* The outstanding balance must be paid at least seventy-five (75) days before the date of arrival, unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation.
* Should the booking be made within seventy-five (75) days of the arrival date, the full payment is due upon confirmation and prior to arrival.

Kindly inform upon confirmation of your reservation, which form of payment would be preferred.
* Payments may be made by Telegraphic Transfer to our company bank account ( a nominal admin. fee applies) or through an online payment gateway with your card (Visa, Mastercard or AMEX). For the avoidance of doubt, all bank charges and administration fees to be borne by the client.
* If payment by card is preferred this will incur an admin fee.

Description

Ultra-stylish beachfront villa

Flanked by its two sister properties, Villa Sangsuri 2 is one of three stunning villas that make up the impressive Sangsuri Estate on Koh Samui.

The capacious 7-bedroom villa is designed as a series of enchanting, stand-alone living and sleeping pavilions set over four levels and spread through beautiful landscaped grounds overlooking a quiet stretch of beach just a couple of kilometres north of the island's main tourist centre, Chaweng.

The villa strikes a perfect balance between modern, ultra-stylish architectural designs and natural elegance, drawing on the striking beauty of the location with open-sided, thatched roof dining and lounge pavilions, glass walled bedrooms and slatted, sliding wooden shutter panels surrounding the dining pavillion and master suite. These deft touches ensure guests are truly immersed in the richness of the lush, tropical setting while at the same time cushioned in sophisticated modern luxury.

The villa's lower level, covered poolside lounge is the perfect space to wile away the day immersed in a good book with your favourite tunes piped through villa's the built-in speakers, or to recline on a daybed in front of a movie on the pull down cinema screen. More active souls will love the villa's two inviting ocean view swimming pools, while a huge beachside jacuzzi makes regular dips irresistible.

Mealtimes are also a memorable private pleasure, with a choice of al fresco dining spaces in which to enjoy delicious home cooked meals prepared by the villa's in-house chef. Guests wanting to work off all the good food can make use of the estate's on-site gym, fitted with top-end machines. Alternatively, a stroll or jog down the beach is rewarded with a close up view of the nearby uninhabited offshore island of Koh Matlang.

An all but hidden remote controlled gate opens onto a private gravel driveway that serves both Villa Sangsuri 2 and Villa Sangsuri 3, with space for several cars to park and an designated area for the night security guard. The drive also leads to the villa's only multi-storey storey pavillion, which houses staff quarters upstairs and a spacious ground floor gym equipped with Life Fitness® equipment for cardio and muscle work.

A double guest bedroom occupies the ground floor of the same building and opens onto its own private, ocean view terrace with an on-suite bathroom to the rear. Stairs inside the bedroom connect to a basement level, which houses a spacious twin bedroom ideal for older children with its own walk-in wardrobe and ensuite shower.

From the upper level bedrooms, steps made of balinese stone descend around an old tree to the first of two expansive lawned and planted areas, backed by an attractive, planted wall. Two more bedroom suites occupy their own standalone bungalows at the rear of the spacious grounds. Bedroom 3 features two walk-in wardrobes and internal doors that slide open onto a planted, tropical bathroom. Bedroom 4 boasts a similar layout to Bedroom 3, but with the ensuite bathroom positioned to the rear of the bungalow. Both are beautifully furnished and decorated in subtle earth tones.

Also on the same level, paths cross water features in the lawned garden and connect to the kitchen, lounge and dining spaces, all of which occupy their own separate thatched roof pavilions. The lounge is furnished with a long cushioned sofa and day bed, the kitchen features a central island breakfast bar and both areas protected from the elements with automated blinds. The ocean view dining pavillion seats 8 to10 guests and is surrounded on three sides by slatted wooded shutters that rotate to draw in the soothing ocean views.

Also on this level, an infinity edged plunge pool fronts the master bedroom pavilion, the latter sliding open on three sides to draw in the stunning views. The suite includes a generously sized double bedroom with additional oversized sofa, antique Balinese wooden carvings and striking original art, as well as ample built-in storage in a walk-in wardrobe area and a spacious ensuite bathroom. The master suite opens onto a private terrace to the rear, featuring a huge outdoor bathtub and a secluded private sun terrace with two sunbeds overlooking the beach.

Internal stairs lead directly down from inside the master suite to a sizeable day lounge area on the villa's lower level, also reached via steps next to the dining pavilion and positioned next to the villa's second, larger swimming pool (21 metres). The comfortable covered lounge area is furnished with a sofa and daybed poised for relaxed. There's a guest bathroom, a second kitchen and barbecue area in this part of the villa, that latter serving a 10-seater outdoor dining table on a terrace right next to the beach. The terrace extends along the beachfront and hosts a comfortable daybed with steps down into a huge beachside jacuzzi pool.

Bedroom 2 also occupies the villa's beachside terrace level and sits at the far end of the poolside garden. The room boasts sea views right from the bed and also offers guests a dual walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom its own with private garden.

Sangsuri Villa 2 connects directly with Sangsuri Villa 3, which means groups have the option to rent the two villas as one expansive 11 bedroom property.

The unique layout and designs at Sangsuri Villa 2 effortlessly bring together nature and contemporary luxury, allowing guests to spend the majority of their time outdoors enjoying the stunning vistas and soothing tropical surroundings, but also with every indulgence, comfort and convenience at their fingertips.

The efficient live-in staff take take care of the details – everything from maintenance and repairs to special guest requests and recommendations – and a private chef is on hand to prepare delicious Thai and Western meals to be enjoyed in one of the many comfortable al fresco dining areas.

The beachside day lounge and swimming pool offer everything you could possibly need to pass lazy days enjoying island life to the full. It's perfectly possible to spend most of your time in this part of the villa; swimming and sunbathing during the day, then returning for evening cocktails, followed by a barbecue, and then relaxing in the lounge with a movie on the pull down projector screen. All this with the gentle sound of the lapping waves in the background.

The abundance of trees and flowers really adds to the pleasure of the stay, as do the many artefacts and collectables placed throughout the villa, which not only create a strong sense of location, but also cleverly bring a homely ambiance to the residence despite its open-plan layouts and considerable size.

The spacious, multi-level design of the villa also means it is easy for guests to balance communal and private holiday time. The private facilities and onsite services are second to none, the fact that the villas on the Sangsuri estate offer direct access to a quiet beach is a rare luxury in itself.
