Amazing Villa!

I got married in June in Koh Samui and booked Villa Marphraaw for the wedding party for a few days beforehand. I could have not been more pleased!! What an experience. The views are amazing and Stuart and Jeremy were soooo kind and accommodating in helping with every last detail. They helped me book a WONDERFUL chef one night and also spa services, pickups from the airport, etc. Everything was just lovely! The villa is clean and beautiful! The sound system was great and magnificent pool. I hope to be able to return some day!

Perfect Stay

We recently stayed in Villa Maphraaw with a group of 10 adults and 1 child. We loved it! Sunset sessions in the pool with music(good outdoor speakers set up to plug into devices), pool lights and spa jets pumping - great views - so good. The villa had everything we needed. Agree with sentiments in other reviews regarding needing cars or scooters. It's is quite a remote villa, on top of a hill, but that's entirely why we chose it. No neighbours, no noise curfews, no need to interact with anyone - great peaceful views over the jungle out to sea. The estate security guards are friendly and helpful. The local restaurants on the beach were s great way to get a big take away meal and enjoy in the villa. Loved having Sentanta Sport on the TV! Mrs Lek is a legend. We had minor issues with electrics and plumbing but Jeremy got onto any issues pretty quickly. We had one day without power but that was the whole estate - and hey - it's Thailand. Roll with it. Good quality fridge kept all our food and drink cool in any event. Could do with a few more pillows. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa (just get yourself a car! Normal sedan is fine. Some taxi drivers baulk at going up the hill but just be persistent) Cheers Sean

Top - Villa for top - Vacation

Just two days back in the real world - after 8 days in paradies named Villa Maphraaw on Koh Samui. After the long flight we had a very warm welcome at the Villa by Jeremy which gave us the feeling of coming home. During our stay Jeremy was very helpful and organized everything to perfection. The Villa itself is absolutly stunning. Stuart has thought of everything, which makes the stay more than only comfortable: the spacious rooms, wonderful bathrooms, kitchen equipt with everything you need, the luxurios living- and diningroom, the pool and the terraces and on top of that the amazing view from all rooms down to the Ocean.. We had a wonderful BBQ and a delishes Thai Food Dinner cooked inhouse by Mrs. Lek who really became a friend. She is looking after the house 2 - 3 times a week and on request does the cooking. We definitly will come back! Thanks a lot to Mrs. Lek, Jeremy and of course Stuart for this wonderful vacation.

Unforgatable !!

We were a group a 8 adults staying at Villa Maphraaw first weeks of february 2017 and we all want to recommand this place that will forever keep a piece of our heart. Wonderfull location on the hill side in the middle of the peaceful and silent greenery with a stunning view over the bay of Mae nam in Samui Island. The space, the furniture, the decoration, the equipment.. everything is fantastic! The feeling is so confortable and luxuous! There is nothing missing for a group and we are minutes away from the beautiful beaches, local markets, restaurants and jetties for Koh Phangan. A bath in the early morning in the infinity pool that overlooks the jungle.. and you are the king of the world !! A special mention for Jeremy who welcomed us so friendly and assisted us for any question and claim. We did not have car, only rental scooters and the slope to get to the villa was never a problem, but we would recommend choosing quite powerful scooters. But with a car...no problem! Many thanks to Stuart and Jeremy for this amazing stay! We can't imagine staying at Samui in an other place!

Stylish and luxurious Villa

Villa Maphraw is a terrific getaway within Koh Samui. It's about 30 minutes away from Chwaeng but you won't need to get out of the villa. The perfect oasis in the middle of an island nestled in the hills with a fantastic infinity pool looking over mangroves and the sea in the not too distance. Within moments on reaching here, you can admire the attention to detail both within and without and can only smile to see the pride with which the villa was conceived, located, constructed and maintained. A true Gem. Everything in the villa from the Pool, Living room, Kitchen, Laundry and Bedrooms are clean, well maintained and top notch. You can't go wrong. This is an ideal villa for families or re-unions alike with plenty of space to have your own privacy or collect together in the pool or living room, We didn't request for catering, but would recommend it if you're not willing to move out of the villa. If you are looking to be out and about the island, then renting a jeep or two is highly recommended (it is up a steep incline) Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable.

Location

In Bang Po area, northern coast of Koh Samui Only 20 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from Ban Tai beach 10 minutes from new international standard 18-hole golf course - Santiburi. Koh Samui is the rare gem of the Gulf of Thailand. Conserving the idyllic simplicity of a tropical hideaway, it is mostly characterized by its powdery white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and welcoming locals where you will delight yourself in a late-day Robinson Crusoe experience in comfort.

In such an idyllic setting the temptation is simply to laze peacefully on the beach and soak up a tropical sun tan. But if you want more there are amenities for water sports, such as windsurfing, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling. Island hopping is another attraction and boats can be easily hired for trips to Koh Phangan (the nearest and largest island next to Samui), and to the smaller islands of Koh Tao, where beautiful bays with colorful coral formations offer excellent conditions for snorkeling and scuba diving.A more adventurous full day excursion can be made to Ang Thong National Marine Park, a group of 40 islands northwest of Samui. Here you will see spectacular limestone formations, caves, blue lagoons and amazingly beautiful beaches.The local population consisting mainly of Buddhist Thai's is very friendly. Until the recent arrival of tourism, coconut farming and fishing were the main sources of income. The latter are still practiced though to a lesser extent. The fish you will eat in the majority of restaurants originate from the surrounding Gulf of Thailand waters.

Cancellation Policy

* If it becomes necessary to cancel all or any part of the booking, ‘The Villa’ must be notified in writing (email acceptable). The cancellation will take effect from the day the written confirmation is received. The following cancellation charges will be payable depending on when the notification of the cancellation is received in writing, as well as the period of stay in the villa:

Low, High & Prime Seasons: 30 days or more before arrival date:
All payments received are forfeited; however, the value of the payments received up to the cancellation date will be credited for a maximum period of nine (9) months from the date of the cancellation confirmation by ‘The Villa’. This credit value may be used by the client or anyone on their behalf, for any reservation providing the equivalent season or lower is applied, during any period upon availability and, exclusively for the same villa reserved initially. The credit cannot be applied to a higher rate season than originally booked.

Standard and Prime Seasons: less than 30 days prior to arrival date:
All rental payments are forfeited. Any 9 month credit stated above is only applicable should ‘The Villa’ secure another reservation that covers the initial cancelled reservation.

Xmas Season (Christmas and New Year period):
All rental payments are forfeited. Any 9 month credit stated above is only applicable should ‘The Villa’ secure another reservation that covers the initial cancelled reservation.

* The above stated cancellation charges will also apply if ‘The Villa’ is forced to cancel the booking due to non-payment of the balance.

* If the dates of the booking require changing or amending, this may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and cancellation charges may apply.

* Any change to the original reservation is subject to an evaluation and approval by ‘The Villa’.

* Any penalty charge for early departure will be subject to negotiation with ‘The Villa’.

Insurance:
* It is a condition of the booking that the entire party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation, flight delays, loss and damage to baggage and other property) and health insurance. ‘The Villa’ is not responsible for any and all claims, including any accidents related to the use of ‘The Villa’ facilities or locally procured third party services such as, watercraft, water sports, car, jeep or motorbike rental etc.

Payment Terms

* Payments are to be made by card through a secure payment gateway or a bank SWIFT transfer to our nominated bank account.
* Deposit: To guarantee this booking, you will be required to pay a 30% deposit.
* Final Payment: The balance of total rental amount is due a minimum of 4 weeks before the check-in date.
* Check in time is 3:00pm; Check out time is 10:00am
* Minimum stay of 3 nights (7 nights over Xmas Season)
* Smoking within the villa is not permitted but ashtrays are provided around the villa.
* Only those persons stated prior to arrival have permission to stay at the villa.

A convenient large covered car port stands on the entrance level of the villa beyond which you will find captivating lush tropical gardens and a charming ornamental fish pond feature. What makes this 650sqm villa unique is its stunning interior design, its unparalleled location, its jaw dropping views and its five spacious and comfortable bedrooms that all have en-suite bathrooms.

The entrance level of the villa, with its vaulted ceilings is the perfect blend of modern luxury and tropical elegance. Comfortable and inviting here you will find a fully functional, open plan, western kitchen with all of the amenities you would expect to find in a villa of this standard. The lower third level of the villa houses two further en-suite bedrooms. Both have large dressing areas, large double beds, and large and inviting private sun connected by stepping stones around a fabulous cascading water feature fed from the incredible 32sqm infinity swimming pool above. Both the pool and the impressively large sun terrace capture the wow factor of the villas impressive location. The terrace has luxurious outdoor furnishings where guests can relax and unwind. Villa Maphraaw is located in the hills of Ban Tai 14.5 kilometers from Samui International airport.
