Villa Samakee is part of the secured Layan Estate which is located about 25-minute drive south of Phuket International Airport. The high walls and dense foliage giving it complete privacy from neighbouring villas within the estate. Enjoying a secluded location, the villa is within convenient distance of Phuket's west-coast beaches and many of the island's finest dining, shopping and leisure attractions. The world-renowned Banyan Tree spa, the Laguna Phuket Golf Club, and a wide array of dining and shopping choices in and around the Laguna resort complex on Bang Tao Beach are nearby.

Cancellation Policy
Special relaxed COVID-19 Cancellation Policy through to 20 Oct 2021:
If your booking needs to be cancelled due to flight cancellations or other confirmed travel restrictions due to COVID-19 a credit note valid for 12 months from the initial booking can be provided. The credit note applies to the same villa and rate period. If a booking is changed to a higher season the difference will need to be paid. The credit note can be assigned to another party on behalf of the original guests.
Standard terms:
If Lessee cancels the booking, the Lessor will retain part of the rental amount as follows:
6.1 If Lessee cancels within 45 days prior to the beginning of the rental period the entire rental amount will be forfeited.
6.2 If Lessee cancels 46 days or more before the beginning of the rental period, the Lessor will forfeit 50% of the rental amount.
6.3 For Peak Season bookings, if the Lessee cancels 75 days or more before the beginning of the rental period, the Lessor will forfeit 50% of the rental amount. If Lessee cancels within 60 days prior to the beginning of the rental period, the entire rental amount will be forfeited.
Payment Terms
* A non-refundable 50% deposit is due within 5 calendar days of booking the villa. For Peak Season (see in the next paragraph below) bookings, full payment is due 90 days prior to Lessee’s arrival date. For bookings during the rest of the year, full payment is due 60 days prior to Lessee’s arrival date.
* Unless agreed otherwise by the Lessor, check in time is 3:00pm and check out time is 12:00pm. Early arrival or late departure will depend upon availability of the villa. The early check in fee is US$500.00 from 10am onwards. The late check out fee is US$500.00 until 6pm. After 6:00pm, the full daily rate is applicable.
* A US$2500 security deposit is payable by credit card or cash in any major currency, upon check in. It will be returned to the lessee no later than 14 days after check out, less the cost of any damage or breakages during the rental period of the Villa, if applicable.
If there is any damage and costs that exceed the amount of the deposit, the Lessee will remain liable to the Lessor to pay the same promptly.
* For events and weddings an additional event fee is charged together with an extra security deposit
Space, elegance and total privacy
The entire lifestyle in Villa Samakee revolves around the infinity pool, Jacuzzi and sala, where you can relax and rest if the sun gets too hot. Indoors, the villa is tastefully decorated in Thai style and features a remarkable collection of art and antiques including ancient Buddha statues. A large living room opens completely to the outdoors to draw in the cool, refreshing ocean breezes. The well-equipped TV room provides fun space for children and adults alike while a private study leading to a garden patio offers a quiet retreat.
Villa Samakee has five bedrooms all of which feature modern amenities. The master suite features a two-person terrazzo bathtub that overlooks the pool from its private bathroom. It has a balcony and is fitted with air con, luxury king bed, TV/DVD, and safety deposit box, among others. The second bedroom is similarly fitted while the third bedroom has luxury twin beds, each with an additional twin-size trundle bed or daybed. The fourth bedroom has luxury twin beds which can be converted into one king sized bed. The fifth bedroom also has luxury twin beds with TV/DVD player, mini-bar, landline telephone, safety deposit box, and en-suite bathroom which is shared with the fourth bedroom.
The villa has a fully fitted kitchen for self-catering. A formal dining room sits near the kitchen. Outdoors, Villa Samakee features a sala, with coffee table and wicker armchairs, plus a settee with seating for 8+ additional people. The beach and the Laguna complex with its restaurants, shopping and golf course are just a few minutes walk away. The villa offers complete seclusion yet it is within convenient distance of the island's attractions. Guests can hire a car to reach Patong Beach and Phuket town for more dining, shopping and nightlife opportunities.
