Wonderful Amy

Stayed 2 weeks in march 2012 in wonderful Amy inside Dea Villa Complex. Amy is a perfect blend of old, traditional and new, modern.,Room was perfect with a king size bed incorporated in a traditional joglo. and lot of furnitures (big Led Tv, Ipod dock, wifi, dressing room, sofa, desk) So like also the bathroom with open air volcanic rock as bath. Next to Amy is located the complex spa and fitness room fully equiped. A special thanks to the great staff team of Dea who had made everything to make my stay perfect and to the cooking chief (mmm lobster bbq)

Luxurious Retreat in the Seminyak Rice Paddies

Six of us had 4 nights here to celebrate anniversaries. The staff were always attentive and on hand with discretion in typically Balinese style. The three bedrooms within Villa Amy are amazing with large beds and beaut decor, and gorgeous inside/outside bathrooms. We were all very comfortable. The chef cooked us lovely breakfasts daily as well as a couple of evening meals which were pretty good but not amazing - I think there is better quality to be had in restaurants around the area. my only 2 negatives are (a) located a little remotely and claims to be 600m from beach, but we walked it a couple of times and its more like 1.5kms and (b) maintenance guy needs to raise his game as not only did the mosquito net frame in the master bedroom fall down and nearly KO one of our friends, but there were traces of litter such as used shampoo containers and bits of wire in our bathroom garden and green algae in the pool!

Location

Villa Amy is part of the Dea Villas complex, which is located on a quiet side road in Berawa close to Canggu. Set amidst the rice fields, the villa enjoys an idyllic rural setting, yet is within convenient distance of the restaurants, bars, clubs and social activities of Seminyak, the cosmopolitan heart of Bali. Berawa Beach is less than a kilometre away, as is the Canggu Club where Dea Villa guests enjoy complimentary membership during their stay.

Cancellation Policy

If the Guest wishes to cancel a confirmed booking, written notice of cancellation must be sent to the manager. All cancellation notices received by the manager will be acknowledged in writing. It is strongly recommended that the Guest and all members of the Guest's party purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Cancellation of a booking includes but is not limited to:
* Cancellation of one or more days of a booking.
* An amendment of a booking so that none of the dates of the booking once amended fall within the same dates that originally constituted the booking.
* Failure of all Guests to provide the required documentation on arrival (eg. Passports or suitable identification).
* Attempt by the Guest, their party or visitors to hold an event at the Property in breach of these Terms and Conditions or breach of any rules applicable to the Guest's chosen Property.

In the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:
* 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period.
* 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the start of the rental period.
* 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 29 days before the start of the rental period.

The applicable amount will be deducted from the deposit and moneys paid, and the manager will refund any remaining balance to the Guest.

Please note that these cancellation terms apply for regular booking periods. Special cancellation terms may apply for peak/high seasons and will be stated in the Property description, booking confirmation or reservation voucher. If the information in any of these is inconsistent, the most recently issued terms will prevail.

Payment Terms

Payment:
When the Guest makes a booking request, the Guest must make the appropriate deposit payment to EH within 5 working days of availability confirmation. If the required deposit payment is not received within the 5 working day period, EH reserves the right to void the Guest’s booking request. The following deposit payment applicable to most villas (see individual villa terms for full details) must be received by EH:
For villas in Indonesia, Thailand and Sri Lanka:
For rentals beginning more than 75 days after the date of the booking request – a deposit of 20% of the total rental amount is payable For rentals beginning 75 days or less after the date of the booking request – the total rental amount is payable as a deposit
Where a 20% deposit applies to the booking, the Guest must pay the remaining 80% balance not less than 75 days before the scheduled arrival date.
For all other countries:
For rentals beginning more than 60 days after the date of the booking request – a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is payable For rentals beginning 60 days or less after the date of the booking request – the total rental amount is payable as a deposit
Where a 50% deposit applies to the booking, the Guest must pay the remaining 50% balance not less than 60 days before the scheduled arrival date.

Description

A magical and peaceful villa

Villa Amy comprises three pavilions spread out over a series of terraces. The pavilions are separated by pools and lily ponds and dotted by a covered walkway lined with antiques and artefacts. The traditional entrance leads to the swimming pool and sun terrace and, lower down, steps over the cascading pond lead to the stand-alone guest bedroom suite. The highest level houses the master suite and a twin-bedded guest suite. All the three bedrooms are a haven of peace and privacy. All have air-conditioning and overhead fans, iPod docks, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and DVD players.

The palatial master bedroom suite of villa Amy features a king-size bed and has a sitting area with over-size sofa. The sitting area leads to a terrace fitted with a sun bed. Sliding doors lead to an enormous semi-open bathroom with a bathtub. One guest room is also on the same floor and has twin beds, built-in wardrobe and an en-suite tropical garden bathroom. The second bedroom occupies its own pavilion and has sliding doors leading onto a private garden. The room also has a large bathroom under a separate pavilion roof, with a huge river-rock tub for sun-bright or starlight bathing.

Overlooking rice-terrace views, the open-sided, fan-cooled living pavilion of villa Amy features magnificently carved pillars and ornate ceiling. On one side and parallel to a pond, sits a four-metre-long teak wood table that can seat 10 with space to spare. On the other side, an over-sized sofa and chairs overlook the waterfall-fed swimming pool. Hidden behind a wall is a small but well-equipped kitchen. Outdoors, the garden provides more space for relaxation. On the poolside sundeck, a pair of sun loungers and a daybed shaded by a thatch roof sit side by side and provide better view of the rice terraces.
