Description

3 bedroom , ocean view villa

Overview
Once a coconut grove, Stow House is set amidst stunning gardens and wrapped in tropical luxury with ocean views and soothing breezes for company. The villa, prolific with peacocks, sea eagles, the Ceylon Grey Hornbill, and barbets, is of particular interest to the bird enthusiasts. Giving the birds company are the Grey Langur, the cheeky Macaques, giant squirrels, an occasional porcupine, and jungle hares scampering across the garden. The villa is serviced by a courteous staff of cooks, housekeeper and gardener to tend to all your needs and help and advice with travel arrangements or any other aspect of your stay.

Bedrooms
Stow House has three en-suite bedrooms each overlooking the garden and ocean. Located a split level above the lounge, the Ocean suite has a private ocean view terrace with large pivoting doors opening to the ocean views. Wall panels can open up the bedroom to the lounge and a walk-in dressing room and bathroom. The second large, double bedroom with ocean-facing terrace overlooks the large pandanus in the centre of the garden. Large pivoting doors also open onto a garden/ocean facing deck. Located at the end of the main house, is the third bedroom, also with a large terrace and pivoting doors and large timber shutters opening to the garden.

Living areas
Stow House is designed to encourage outdoor living. The doors of the living area slide and stack open to draw in the breeze and ocean. The open plan lounge and kitchen are ideal for living, dining and cooking. Outdoors, the swimming pool enjoys pride of place in the sloping garden, the infinity edge matching with the ocean horizon. A timber cabanas provides a shaded pool lounge at the end of the pool. A few steps down to the rocks or a pathway takes you to the serene Mahawella beach.
