Location
The house is located in a small village surrounded by paddy fields. Once you go through the gates it's like the world outside doesn't exist.
It's located 2 kilometers inland from Dalawella beach and 5 minutes in a tuk-tuk to the nightlife and bustle of Unawatuna, the chic beach clubs of Talpe or 10 minutes from the empty beaches down the coast. A 15 minute tuk-tuk/car drive and you are in Galle and it's heritage site Galle Fort. Banks, fruit/veg/fish markets and restaurants are all to be found here. To experience some real village life take a stroll through the villages toward Yatagala temple or the main road. You'll pass corner shops, schools, tea shops, cricket playing school kids, dogs and probably a couple of cows and a few goats. We can assist you with suggestions of local day trips and some lesser known outings. Airport transfers, local tuk-tuks and van hire can also be arranged.

Our customer service motto is "home away from home" but with the added comfort of someone to cook amazing food for you, make iced coffe, pina coladas and make life just a little more comfortable. There is an infinity pool with four sunbeds and sun umbrellas. Another rather comfortable spot is the swing bed in the garden. The garden dining table is in shade most of the day making it a perfect lunch spot, with a light breeze from the paddy with some luck. And it's the perfect dining table, seating 10, for a BBQ or pool party. The veranda was designed with socialising and relaxation in mind. Read, eat, drink, watch a film, cook, snooze...Wi-fi, TV, cable tv, DVD, it's all there to optimize the above. Upul, the chef, comes in daily to prepare your meals. He does a range of Sri Lankan and Europen dishes with an emphasis on it being fresh, tasty and healthy. The kitchen is well equipped should you be a hands-on foodie. The fruit/veg/fish markets are really insipiring and well worth a visit.
Bedrooms
The Petals has two air-conditioned bedrooms that open up to the veranda. Each with en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers.
The bedrooms have king size four poster beds with mosquito nets and luxury bedding. A z-bed can be set up for additional guests and a cot bed is also available.
