Jimbaran

Jimbaran, a beautiful crescent of sea and sand is located south of Kuta. This busy fishing village in Bali is cluttered with seafood restaurants and has some of the most beautiful hotels in the world lining its beach. The main beach in Jimbaran is sheltered with calm waters most of the year. However, to the southwest are Dreamland and Belangan beaches which are known for their strong surf waves. The area is relatively secluded and is much sought after by visitors who come to find solace and tranquility in the beautiful luxury of nature. What to do in Jimbaran?

The sunset here is fantastic. Enjoy a terrific evening watching the colors of the dying sun on the horizon against the soft sounds of the sea. Jimbaran is known for its seafood and you can also cut out the middleman and go on a fishing trip to catch your own in-villa dinner. The spectacular site of Uluwatu Temple is just outside Jimbaran but is a must visit. One of the best places to enjoy the sunsets while sipping cocktails is Rock Bar which sits some 14 metres atop a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean.
