Beautiful family home

We spent 3 beautiful days at Villa Sammasan last week. The welcome and service we received from Lily and her team was genuine and warm. These ladies could not do enough for us and balanced their service with our need for privacy beautifully. The chef Lucky was wonderful and enjoyed sharing her tips with my husband who is a chef. The food was affordable as Lily passes on her market costs with a small surcharge. We enjoyed an absolute feast for under $60.00AUD for dinner one night...this meal in Australia would have cost hundreds of dollars. The quality of the food was exceptional. The property itself was perfect for our multi-gen family - bright, light, modern, clean lines with tasteful, quirky and warm art all around. The huge living space was beautifully furnished and a second living room upstairs was a great retreat. Twin beds in the downstairs room was great for the kids with their grandparents in a beautiful room next door - each had an ensuite and a great surprise was the laundry! Up stairs the master suite was a delight with a bathroom I didn't want to leave - windows slide open all around the spa bath making the view of Surin beach enjoyable from the bath. So special!! Again beautiful art and furniture made this bedroom a space I wanted to lounge in for hours. Location was central Surin. Surin is quiet and not for those who want action but having spent a week beforehand in Karon, this was lovely. Quite a steep walk down the hill was a bit of a challenge but we managed to convince taxis and tuktuk drivers to brave it and get us to the top! The house is thought out and equipped with a family in mind, the kitchen is fully equipped, the bookshelves full and even kids toys in the cupboards! You can tell a family owns and uses this home. It has a soul, it's not just a sterile house with no love. I loved the art work, I loved the infinity pool with sunken shaded gazebo, I loved the thought put into this house that made it heaven on earth.

Even with the website photos and information we weren't quite prepared for this beautiful property.

The pre arrival communication and information received about Surin Heights was really helpful and contributed to the anticipation and expectations about the holiday for all our family, we were able to ask our questions about the forthcoming holiday and about the villa and Phuket in general, and received more really useful feedback. (Bartering? A nightmare for me but Tim and Louis enjoyed the process and got some amazing deals! Driving a hire car...not for me, but Tim managed OK) Marianne and Stephen's recommendations on things to do, places to go were much appreciated. I would highly recommend taking a Thai cooking course to all. There are loads advertised round and about, we did ours at the Pum Thai Restaurant and Cooking School at Patong Beach, and are still cooking the 12 dishes we learnt to make between us now we're back home. The villa in Surin Heights is an oasis of calm after driving in Phuket. Even with the website photos and information we weren't quite prepared for this beautiful property. It was just like in the photos and then some! The layout really worked for us, the villa, which is split over three floors is spacious, light filled, beautifully decorated and thought out, it was a pleasure and a treat to be in such a gorgeous space, indoors and out. The main living space had the most amazing views, day and night, in sunshine and during a couple of storms. The art works and furniture make for equally interesting indoor views, we all had different favourites, mine were the collection of canvases leading up to and in the master bedroom, and also the two gentlemen in the TV room ( we didn't switch the TV on once in the two and a bit weeks we were there). Comfy beds, crisp bed linen, a well equipped kitchen, plenty of fridge space, a great sound system, Marianne and Stephen have thought of everything. The property management team and the wonderful Maya were really reactive and helpful whenever there were any small queries or questions on our part, the grounds and drive up to the villa were attended to every day. The villa is in a great location and we loved that we could set out on foot to eat/have a drink at the various restaurants on Surin Beach or the beach five minutes in the opposite direction. The time of year really suited us as it wasn't too busy. There is so much to see and do here: swimming took up a lot of our time, in the pool and the sea, massages, shrines, other beaches further afield, Big Bhudda, boat trips to the National Park round the islands to the North East of Phuket (my birthday treat, a memorable day), other resorts etc. There is so much we didn't see this time around as we split our time between relaxing at the villa, and trips out and about. Next time...The contrast between the stunning and perfect beaches and crazy drives through towns where streets are lined with cables, tuk tuks and mopeds will stay with me for a very long time. We didn't always fare too well in Phuket town itself, maybe we should have tackled it at the end of our stay rather than the beginning? All in all we have some amazing memories of our stay in a beautiful villa on a stunning, interesting and fascinating island full of contradictions. Perfect! Thanks again guys.

Excellent Penthouse

We had a pleasant stay in Surin Heights Villa. The location was great. The ocean view was awesome. The house is modern and stylish, looks as good as in the pictures, the most important thing is the place was very clean and tidy. Hiring a car is recommended as the house is situated on the hillside. Overall, the house is excellent, great view, great location, fair price, booking was smooth and easy, concierge is nice and responsive. Would definitely recommend this property to everyone.

Spectacular Property & very Family Friendly

We had a wonderful time at Surin Heights Villa. The location was great and the layout of the house worked really well for our family. The views and sunsets were spectacular and the weather was perfect every day!!! The maid Khun Maya was lovely and she really looked after us. I'd recommend this property to everyone.

Beautiful interior design, awesome sea views

Excellent views, unique, colourful and pretty interior design, awesome sound system. We went as a group of 7 adults and a baby and had a wonderful stay there. The concierge was v responsive and helpful in answering our questions and helping us arrange activities and transportation. Also arranged for a chef to cook a Thai cuisine dinner which was delicious and totally enjoyable meal. Will definitely be back!!!

Great views, great villa, great beach - Go!

We stayed for 9 days in February at Surin Heights and loved every minute! The villa is gorgeous and luxurious, excellently appointed with great decor and amenities. The villa is perched on a hill-side in a private, gated community above Surin beach with ocean and sunset views...we had awesome weather and enjoyed great sunsets. Surin beach itself was ideal for the kids to mess around on and there are a plethora of fine restaurants to suit all tastes. Surin is a few bays north of Patong and very convenient to get around the Island and its attractions. We hired a car from the airport and found it easy travelling. The owners, Marianne and Stephen, were incredibly helpful and informative - Stephen even tee'd me up with a game of golf at his club, the Blue Canyon, for my birthday, which was just outstanding. Thank You! If you are looking for luxury, elegance and a great villa experience, look no further than this Phuket gem! We hope to return for sure and recommend very highly.

Luxury and comfort

I stayed in the villa for three nights with a few girlfriends and it felt like I was living a dream. When you arrive and walk down to the spacious living area which looks onto the terrace, the infinity pool and the beach beyond, it just takes your breath away! The villa is well-equipped and designed to very high specifications with stunning art on the walls. But it's not only stylish, it's really comfortable. Each bedroom is themed in a different colour - and each with its own charm. We had planned lots of activities while we were in Phuket, but the best time for me was relaxing at the house, lounging in the sala and going for a dip in the pool. Pure luxury!

Amazing

The view from the master bedroom was amazing. By day we saw crashing waves and at night, stars in the sky. My teenagers loved hanging out by the pool. My daughter managed to connect her iPhone with the villa's sound system and we enjoyed great music every day. We hired the chef and loved her cooking. We had delicious pad thai, tom yum with shrimps, steamed squid with lemon sauce, crab with tanghoon, green curry, etc. The drivers who took us around were friendly. It was not far from Banyan Tree Spa and there was a horse riding club nearby.

A part of an exclusive hillside estate, Villa Sammasan is located in Surin, considered to be one of Phuket’s most glamorous beaches. Offering stunning views of the Surin Beach and the Andaman Sea from every room, this scenic property is just a few meters walk away from two of Phuket’s top beaches – Surin and Laem Singh. It is within an easy drive to Bang Tao, Nikki Beach and Layan Beach. A 15 minutes drive will bring you to some of Phuket’s top restaurants such as Baan Rim Pa, Lim’s, De Maurizio and Acqua. Cancellation Policy

If the Guest wishes to cancel a confirmed booking, written notice of cancellation must be sent to Management. All cancellation notices received will be acknowledged in writing. It is strongly recommended that the Guest and all members of the Guest's party purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Cancellation of a booking includes but is not limited to:
Cancellation of one or more days of a booking;
An amendment of a booking so that none of the dates of the booking once amended fall within the same dates that originally constituted the booking;
Failure of all Guests to provide the required documentation on arrival (eg. Passports or suitable identification); and
Attempt by the Guest, their party or visitors to hold an event at the Property in breach of these Terms and Conditions or breach of any rules applicable to the Guest’s chosen Property.

In the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:
20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period
50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the start of the rental period
100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 29 days before the start of the rental period.

The applicable amount will be deducted from the deposit and moneys paid, and Management will refund any remaining balance to the Guest.

Payment Terms

When the Guest makes a booking request, the Guest must make the appropriate deposit payment within 5 working days of availability confirmation. If the required deposit payment is not received within the 5 working day period, the villa reserves the right to void the Guest's booking request.

- For rentals beginning more than 75 days after the date of the booking request – a deposit of 20% of the total rental amount is payable.
- For rentals beginning 75 days or less after the date of the booking request – the total rental amount is payable as a deposit.
- Where a 20% deposit applies to the booking, the Guest must pay the remaining 80% balance not less than 75 days before the scheduled arrival date.

Kindly inform upon confirmation of your reservation, which form of payment would be preferred.
* Payments may be made by Telegraphic Transfer to our company bank account or through an online payment gateway with your credit card (visa,master card or Amex).
* If payment by credit card is preferred this will incur a 3.9% admin fee.

Modern three-bedroom villa with panoramic ocean views

An exclusive, three-bedroom holiday home, villa Sammasan boasts modern architecture, stunning interiors and spectacular views of the Surin Beach and the Andaman Sea from every room. Adorned with original art and designer furniture, this ‘home-away-from home’ features a fully-equipped media room, furnished terrace with Glandi Blasco furniture, a shaded, open-air sala and a nine-metre infinity pool, perfect for a dip while enjoying the sunset. A great team of staff comprising a villa manager, a Thai chef and housekeepers cater to all the guests needs and make their stay an unforgettable experience.

The 80-square-meter master suite of Villa Sammasan occupies the entire upper floor. The secluded area is decorated with original Thai works surrounding a four-poster bed. The bedroom also has an indoor chaise-lounge, and a few steps away, an ensuite bathroom featuring a large dressing area, shower enclosure and a Jacuzzi bath tub facing the ocean. The remaining two ensuite bedrooms occupy the lower level of this luxury villa, each themed with different colors and paintings, and each showcasing floor-to-ceiling windows and separate balconies.

The middle floor of Villa Sammasan includes the media room, an open-plan kitchen, the dining area and the main living area. Guests can enjoy breakfast at the breakfast bar in the kitchen or indulge the choicest of Thai cuisine at the 8-person dining table. The media room boasts an impressive collection of movies and a deep 4-seater couch. The living area is fronted by glass panels which can be opened to let in the cool breezes or closed for air-conditioned comfort. These panels open onto a furnished terrace, and beyond to an open-air sala and a nine-metre infinity pool.
